BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU ASK FOR.

Both Donald J. Trump and Hillary Rodham (Clinton) say they hold the hopes and desires of the American people as their main concerns. Considering the political unrest likely to occur, no matter which one wins the election on Tuesday, logical thinkers might wonder why both haven’t dropped out of the race in order to maintain peace and national stability. The reason is simple. The American people want a showdown. Obama has used his tenure as president to set much of the population against itself by raising feelings of despair, racial tensions, hatred of police and reducing hope for a better future to levels which should make things more than interesting in the upcoming days and weeks.

Donald and Hillary legitimately won their respective primaries. They won the majority of votes within their parties. We wanted them. We wanted their nastiness. We wanted their mutual disrespect. We reveled in their narcissistic personality disorders and scandals. I’m surprised Jerry Springer wasn’t the sole moderator at all three presidential debates. They gave us what we wanted. Apparently they do prioritize our wishes.

It will be interesting to see what we want on Wednesday and, more importantly, what we, ( with benefit of hindsight ), might wish we hadn’t asked for, a year from now.
