Let’s examine one difference between The Donald and Hillary. The subject of Right vs. Wrong.

First let’s take a quick look at the concept of “Ethics”.

Ethos is subjective. Depending upon the group to which you refer, there are differences in ethical standards.. A great deal may depend upon religious beliefs. For example, those of the Jewish faith try to keep Kosher. Among other things, they feel it unethical to eat pork. Rabbis are required to oversee the slaughter of permissively consumable animals. Other things come under Kosher rules as well. Much of this derives from the historical need for cleanliness. Charity is important. And on and on.

Muslims also cannot eat pork. Non-Muslims are considered heretics and are to be punished. Even a cartoon drawing of their prophet, Mohammed ( a ruthless conqueror), is punishable by death. Charity is important.  And on and on.

Christians also have a history of killing those they consider to be heretics. The Crusades proved that. Strange when you think of the love Jesus was supposed to have shown to the sinful. Charity is important. And on and on.

Both Christians and Jews view The Ten Commandments in the same way. Apparently Muslim doctrine is a bit different.

Now let’s deal with the simple concept of right and wrong. While this should not be subjective, for some folks it seems to be.

The Donald is a businessman. As such, he is driven to make a profit. While he knows the difference between right and wrong, he may step over the line sometimes. To him, if it is legal, it may not be right, but it isn’t actually wrong. He has been criticized for not paying enough money in taxes, but who wants to pay more than the minimum legally due? That is smart business. He buys for the lowest prices possible and sells for the highest prices possible. Greedy? Maybe, but smart business. He has also been criticized for some of his rash statements. He speaks the way he thinks (usually with no teleprompter). While many will disagree with his thoughts, his HONESTY IS RIGHT. So, whether he recants, or tries to clarify some of his words; he cannot un-speak the words he’s already spoken. His critics are deaf to any  explanations he provides. The labels  “racist”, “anti-Muslim”, “anti-Mexican”, etc. continue to adhere to him. He is now in court over problems with the Trump University. Many believe it was a scam. He has mentioned  what he sees as a potential problem with Judge Gonzalo Curiel not being able to be impartial in the case while remembering Trump’s comments on some Mexican illegal border-crossers as being rapists and drug dealers. Some are, of course, but Trump’s opponents and the media don’t recognize his mention of most being great folks while some are a problem. They continue pressing the media hyped,  “edit the words to promote your political agenda” version. Also, he wants to secure the southern border with a wall. Walls already exist, of course, but you don’t hear any mention of that fact. Trump noted  the judge is of Mexican heritage.  A stupid point for Trump to make publically. But it is not unthinkable some bias could potentially exist. The judge is human, after all.   Another thought is that “The Donald” hired Daniel Petrocelli to be his lead attorney in the  Trump University matter. This is the same lawyer who won the civil suit against O.J. Simpson over the deaths of Ronald Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson. Petrocelli has donated money to Hillary’s campaigns beginning with her Senate run in 2000. He donated the maximum amount of $2,700.00 to her current presidential bid. Trump has not attacked his lawyer for refusing to ask the judge to recuse himself or for the political donations to Hillary. When asked about this, Petrocelli said, ” …didn’t hire me for my political views. He hired me for my legal skills.” Smart business.

Hillary became a lawyer in her younger years. It was her job to win cases. To Hillary, as well as many lawyers, winning is RIGHT. In politics, her job is to win elected office. To Hillary, winning is always RIGHT. Hillary sees the difference between right and wrong as: RIGHT is  winning for her own financial benefit and power. What is WRONG , in her mind, is anything that opposes her winning. It is as simple as that. Hillary doesn’t really know right from wrong and doesn’t think she needs to. Those types of thoughts are too pedestrian for her.
