YOUR HOROSCOPES #3

See previous posts for Taurus.

SIGN: GEMINI

Gemini is the emotional sign of THE TWINS (Greek : Castor and Pollux /  Roman: Dollius Partonii). Anyone born between May 21st and June 20th are said to have the following qualities:  They are expressive, talkative and fun. Curiously, they can have two sides. One may be outgoing and extraverted. The other side may be serious and indecisive. Don’t ask them to choose sides unless they seem to be in a good mood. Donald Trump (born June 14th) is a Gemini (for whatever that’s worth).

Alexandros of Antioch (130-100 BC) is believed to have sculpted the statue know as “Venus de Milo” representing the Greek goddess Aphrodite (Venus to the Romans). Strangely, the planet Venus does not relate to the zodiacal sign, Gemini. Gemini’s planet and sub-sign is Mercury.  Alexandros seems to have been focused on “The Twins” while sculpting the statue  ( and did a spectacular job on them, I must say), rather than the rest of her.  Wow! He appears to have neglected her arms  almost entirely.

NOTE: NASA launched 19 space vehicles as part of the Gemini orbital missions from 1962-1966. Ten were manned flights consisting of TWO (Get it ? Twins.) astronauts each. Gemini 3 was piloted by Gus Grissom (who, reportedly, wouldn’t shut up.) and John Young (who, reportedly, couldn’t decide where to flick his cigarette ashes.)

SUB-SIGN: Mercury

The aforementioned discrepancy between Venus and Mercury probably derives from a governmental, clerical error. As they say, “Things in motion tend to remain in motion; while things at rest tend to work for the state”. Mercury is the “super” emotional sign of “THE BALL CAP”. It is said to hold sway over liars, car salesmen and thieves (as well as some very good people who slipped through the cracks). People born on June 14th tend to be surprised by their successes to the point of confusion and are often late filing their 2nd quarterly estimated tax returns by the following day.

  1. … work for the state! Yeah! Ha …

But, yeah, Venus and Mercury a “Clerical error” does separate them — if you take the glyph of Venus (the symbol for women) and add two-little horns to it, presto! It becomes the glyph for Mercury — those little bird-wings on his helmet (and yours once too!)
