I wasn’t as much of a fan of Janis Joplin back in the day as I am today. I’ve come to really appreciate the bare emotion she put into every song she sang. She “rode” each tune. This is why I was a little offended when someone told me Joplin once went to be bikini waxed and the results filled two commercial grade dumpsters. It doesn’t make sense. Bikini waxing wasn’t popular with hippie types back then.
